Step out on faith..

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

This song speaks to letting go of ourselves and letting God have his way with us. When we do we can truly fly and have an adventurous life in the Lord.

Is there a step of faith that you feel God calling you to in 2009?  The story of Jonathan and the armor-bearer speaks of the power of positive risk-taking for God (1 Samuel 14:1-14).  Let God have his way with you in 2009.  Take great risks, in love.  And may you soar on wings like eagles, as you put your hope in the LORD.

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

- Isaiah 40:28-31

Surrender

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

I surrender my goals.. I surrender my life..
I surrender my pain.. I surrender my strife..
I surrender who I am.. and all who I could be..
I surrender all the things.. I think will make me free..
All my dreams for the future.. and all that I remember..
I surrender all to you, Lord.. on this cold day in December..

This is the organization that I partnered with for eight months while in Kenya. They have chapters in over 22 African countries but the head office is based in Nairobi. They do a lot of amazing work.
