A few changes

Made a few changes to the site since arriving in Fort Wayne.  I’ll be handing out flyers today at church and hope to raise awareness through other avenues as well.  I’m doing my best to stay positive even though the thought of raising the remaining $1850 in a week is fairly overwhelming. I still believe that God put this on my heart for a reason though.  I’m not sure what will happen… but the Scriptures continue to encourage me to press forward.  At this point it’s in God’s hands…

“Everything is possible for him who believes.” (Mark 9:23)

The adventure begins..

So here we go. I’m at the offices of Mosaic, packing up my last things. The donations are all set up for The World Awaits and the Rhino Fund and my bike is ready to go (aside from a quick oil change before I leave). It’s crazy to think that I’m actually going to attempt this.  My mind has been swimming with doubts for the last twenty-four hours.  It’d be so much easier to sell the bike and catch a plane ticket home… but everything keeps affirming the decision to move forward. The phrase ’stepping out on faith’ has never seemed so real.

My last day in California was spent exploring and dreaming along the coast with a newfound kindred spirit. I’m thankful for the people that God has placed in my life along the way… and although I’ll miss the beauty of California… it’s the people who really leave a mark on our hearts.

So here we go… there’s no turning back now.

Show me your ways, O LORD,
teach me your paths;

guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.

Psalm 25:4-5
