The journey
Four to ten people will be embarking on this adventure. Participants will be traveling together, living together and serving together. There will be free time to explore and discover on your own, but the trip is predominately a group experience. We are working closely with our partners in Nairobi to create lasting memories and unique experiences.
Opportunities to serve
Our partnership with local orphanage outside of Nairobi will provide a variety of opportunities for you to make a difference. We'll also be joining a group of Nairobi residents to serve people on the streets during one of their "Agape in the Streets" events.
Exploring the beauty of East Africa
Explore the hidden gems of Eastern Africa. From the thundering waterfalls of Fourteen Falls, to the rolling hills of Ngong and the Great Rift Valley. If you decide to include the safari on your trip, you will experience firsthand the incredible diversity of wildlife on the plains of the Masai Mara. Whether you go on the safari or not; this trip will allow you experience the depth of God's creation in Kenya.
Discovering and realizing strengths
A large part of the trip is focused on understanding your unique strengths and personality, and how you can use that knowledge to best love and serve others. Who are you? Who did God create you to be? What are you passionate about? What skills, gifts and talents has God given you?
How can you use what God has given you to make the world a better place?
To make a difference in this world, we need to know what we have to contribute. We will spend two days exploring these ideas, and each participant will take StrengthsFinders and other tests to discover the incredibly unique way that God has created you. Our goal is to empower you to rise up and live a life of purpose and significance.
Conclusion
This is not a typical travel experience. It will challenge, stretch and inspire you. It will take you to the ends of your reserves, so that you can see the beginning of God's. We hope that it will help you uncover your unique passions and strengths, and that you will be unleashed to make an irreplaceable contribution to humanity.
We hope it lights a fire within you. That it may serve as a catalyst for you to live with a greater sense of purpose and truly make a difference with your life.
You will not change Kenya during your time here, but Kenya may change you.
